From the 17th to the 24th of January, the
headmistress Mrs. Maria Arisco and the coordinator of the
project, Mrs. Gabriella Romano will make a preparatory visit
to the Island of Martinique (Caribbean Islands) Basse Pointe-France.
The title of the project is "VIVRE SUR UN ILE AVEC
UN VOLCAN".
The schools that are participating on the Comenius-School-Project

The Comenius-School-Project is a cultural
exchange within the Socrates Project financed by the European
Community.
This project involves only teachers, who
will produce a report with the purpose of comparing the
history and the destiny of islands, which have been affected
by volcanic eruptions. At the beginning of the scholastic
year we, the students of the 5th S, divided into four groups
and began researching the history, the tourist opportunities,
the mythology and the scientific aspects of our volcano
Etna.
The project will last three years involving
many students in the research and in the production of CDs,
booklets and exchanges of e-mails with the other schools.
All the teachers and students interested
in this project are invited to participate.
