According to BVB regulations, the General Director can decide to temporary suspend the trading if the main index (BET) records a day-on-day decrease of 12%. If the BET index records a 15% decrease compared with the last closing, the trading is suspended for the whole trading session. Today’s trading was suspended when the BET index went down 8.89%. If adjusted for Banca Transilvania weight in the main index (28.95%), which is currently suspended from trading, BET recorded today a negative performance of 12%, triggering a temporary closing of BVB. It was also announced that trading would be resumed at 11:10 local time. The trading session will begin with a 15 min Preopening period. link
