GERMANY ALLOTTED 1.2M EUR TO AGENCY OF CIVIL REGISTER

German Embassy in Georgia reports that Germany allotted 1.2 million EUR to Georgian Justice Ministry’s Agency of Civil Register. Corresponding government agreement was signed today in the Justice Ministry.

BORDERS OF BOLNISI AND TETRITSKARO ARE SET

National Agency of Public Register of Georgian Ministry of Justice announced that borders of registration zone of Bolnisi and Tetritskaro (Kvemo Kartli region) are set. Accordingly, in order to get realty registration service, residents of these districts should address Public Register’s Registration Services of Bolnisi and Tetritskaro.

BOARD FOR CLAIMS CONSIDERATION IS STAFFED

Georgian Chamber of Control reports that staffing of board for claims consideration, established in the Chamber, was finished recently. The board consists of 7 members, out of which 4 – represent the Control Chamber.

TBC BANK TO LAUNCH 20 ATMS IN THE FIRST HALF OF 2009

TBC Bank told Sarke that number of bank’s ATMs would increase by 20 units in the first half of 2009. Out of this number, 4 ATMs have already been installed in the 1st quarter.

BLITZ-SURVEY: SALES OF APARTMENTS AND DISTRICTS OF MOST DEMAND

The next survey, held by Sarke, showed that prices on apartments are reduced by 10-30%, while demand is dropped even deeper. Among districts of Tbilisi, Saburtalo enjoys the biggest demand.

REDUCTION OF PRICES ON BUILDING MATERIALS REDUCED THE COST OF HOTEL KEMPINSKI CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

Tbilisi representation of Swiss investment company Capital Vostok announced that current cost of hotel Kempinski construction project makes up nearly $100-120 million. Project cost reduced by $20-30 million because of reduction of prices on construction materials, explained director of the representation Dimitri Napetvaridze.

CONSTRUCTION OF TBILISI HOTEL NOVOTEL IS DELAYED AGAIN

Swiss investment company Capital Vostok has delayed construction of 4-star hotel Novotel in Tbilisi for the second time already. Tbilisi representation of Capital Vostok could not name exact terms of construction start.

GG&MW TO ENTER TURKISH AND POLISH MARKETS

As Georgian Glass & Mineral Waters (GG&MW) told Sarke, the company plans to master Turkish and Polish markets in 2009. Negotiations with these aims are being underway, the company said, refraining to provide further details at this stage.

NABEGLAVI TO BE SOLD IN BELARUS AND IRAN

As LLC Tskali Margebeli (Healthy Water) told Sarke, it is planned to start selling mineral water Nabeglavi in Belarus and Iran this year. Negations with these aims are underway.

FOUR COMPANIES APPLIED FOR NBG STAFF INSURANCE

National Bank of Georgia (NBG) told Sarke that 4 companies were interested with provision of medical and life insurance service to its staff. Envelopes with tender applications were opened these days.

FOUR COMPANIES ARE INTERESTED WITH MEDICAL INSURANCE OF LLC GEORGIAN RAILWAY’S STAFF

As LLC Georgian Railway told Sarke, 4 companies are applied for tender on medical insurance to LLC’s staff. The tender was held some days ago.

THREE COMPANIES ARE INTERESTED WITH PROJECT WORKS FOR CHITAKHEVHES REHABILITATION

Three companies are applied for tender, announced by JSC Chitakhevi-Borjomi on projecting of ChitakhevHES (Chitakhevi hydroelectric station) rehabilitation. Tender applications were opened these days.

LLC BROADBAND4YOU NEGOTIATES ON INTERCONNECTION AGREEMENTS WITH OTHER OPERATORS

Georgian Communication Commission reports that LLC Broadband4You is going to sign interconnection agreement with LLC Mobitel (mobile communications operator, brand Beeline). As Broadband4You told Sarke, interconnection agreement should be signed with other mobile operator, LLC Magti, as well.

LICENSE OF LLC ICEBERG FOR 8-0-63 NUMERATION RESOURCE USE EXTENDED

Georgian Communications Commission decided to extend for a year license of LLC Iceberg for 8-0-63 numeration resource use. As the Commission notes, corresponding decision is made annually and the company does not have to pay any sums.
