GUARANTEE, WHICH SHOULD BE PRESENTED FOR CREATION OF FREE INDUSTRIAL ZONE IN POTI, IS CHANGED

Georgian Finance Minister Kakha Baindurashvili announced that size of guarantee, which should be presented for creation of the free industrial zone in Poti, is changed. Namely, maximal sum, which had made up 20 million EUR, is reduced to 10 million EUR.

REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUND TO FINANCE PROJECTS OF $5-6M IN 2009

Regional Development Fund of Georgia will finance projects of $5-6 million during the year 2009, told Sarke executive director of the Fund Nika Kavelashvili. At least 3 projects will be financed this year, he noted.

55 BUSES TO BE PURCHASED FOR BATUMI INSTEAD OF 100 ONES

Jemal Ananidze, head of financial service of Batumi City Hall, told Sarke that 55 buses will be purchased for municipal transport of Batumi instead of 100 ones, envisaged initially. This number is enough at this stage, he noted.

JSC ENERGOPRO GEORGIA TO START CONSTRUCTION OF BATUMI-KHOPA ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION LINE

JSC EnergoPro Georgia announced that it will start construction of Batumi-Khopa high-voltage transmission line on April 2. As the company informs, construction of 220 KV line, which will link Georgia with Turkey, should be completed in 10 months.

CONTRACTORS OF JSC CAUCASUS ENERGY&INFRASTRUCTURE HOLD RESEARCH WORKS IN TERMS OF MTKVARIHES PROJECT

Archil Mamatelashvili, executive director of JSC Caucasus Energy&Infrastructure, told Sarke that research works are underway in terms of MtkvariHES (Mtkvari hydroelectric station) construction project. Namely, Icelandic company Verkis holds feasibility study.
