GEORGIAN PRESIDENT: THE MAIN PRIORITY IS ECONOMICS’ RECOVERY AND NEW JOBS CREATION
Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili declared that the authorities have “one and the main priority – recovery of the economy, keeping of the jobs, creation of new jobs and increase of employment”. All our further decisions and steps will proceed from this priority, announced the President yesterday while making the annual report to the Parliament.

AUTHORITIES PLAN TO MAKE HEALTH INSURANCE THE MOST AVAILABLE
Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili declared that fundamental changes should be made in health insurance in order to make it affordable to all the citizens. Only two categories of insurance operate in the country today – free-of-charge and expensive, noted the President yesterday while making the annual report to the Georgian Parliament.
CUSTOMS WILL BE EQUIPPED THROUGH THE CHINESE GRANT
Georgian Finance Ministry informs that customs terminal, equipped with X-ray scanner, was opened today in Adlia. The terminal was equipped through grant of 11 million lari, allotted by the governemnt of China last year.
COALITION TRANSPARENT FINANCIAL AID TO GEORGIA POINTS AT ECONOMIC DANGERS
According to conclusion of coalition Transparent Financial Aid to Georgia, there is a danger in Georgia of suspension of the economic growth, decreasing of investment inflow and transfers, risks in the banking sector and foreign trade, etc.
Because of the crisis in country’s economy, Georgia might attract credits with stricter terms than it was before, which will complicate the economic development of the country, announced economic expert Revaz Sakevarishvili while presenting the analytic report of coalition today.
GOVERNEMNT OF FINLAND TO RENDER AID TO GEORGIAN ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Georgian Environment Protection and Natural Resources Ministry announces that the governemnt of Finland will allot 2 million EUR to Georgia to hold environment protection works. The Ministry cannot name at this stage the terms of signing of the corresponding agreement.

EXPERT OF GREEN ALTERNATIVE TALKS ABOUT CANCELLING OF TWO LONG-TERM FORESTRY LICENSES
Irakli Macharashvili, coordinator of biodiversity program of non-governmental organization Green Alternative told Sarke that 2 long-term forestry licenses should be withdrawn because of violations. The matter concerns the licenses, issued to Georgian-Chinese enterprise Georgian Wood & Industrial Development and Georgian Wood Processing Corporation.

Georgian Economic Development Ministry announced auction on 28 mining licenses. Starting price of the licenses totals to 380,159 lari.
