27 MINING LICENSES ARE AUCTIONED

Georgian Economic Development Ministry brought 27 mining licenses on auction. The total starting price makes up 478,980 lari. Namely, licenses on detritus mining in Akhalkalaki, Ambrolauri, Aspindza, Gori, Kvareli, Khashuri, Mtskheta, Ozurgeti, Sachkhere, Tsalka, Tkibuli, Vani and Zugdidi are auctioned.

BANK FOR OF “CHEAP LOAN” STATE PROGRAM MAY BE SELECTED ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MINISTRY

As it became known to Sarke, rules of credit resources’ issuing in terms of state program “Cheap Loan” will be amended. Namely, selection through the tender of a bank-contractor (or a micro-financial organization), which will issue credits in terms of the program, may be implemented by Georgian Economic Development Ministry.

EU PASSED EQUIPMENT OF 1M LARI TO ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION AND NATURAL RESOURCES MINISTRY

Georgian Environment Protection and Natural Resources Ministry announces that EU passed equipment cost 1 million lari to it. Equipment, which is envisaged for the National Environmental Agency, will be used for chemical pollution analysis of surface waters in field conditions.

DEMAND ON TURNOVER OF LISTED COMPANIES SUSPENDED UNTIL 2010

Georgian Stock Exchange reports that demand toward turnover volume of listed companies is suspended until the year 2010.  Corresponding amendment was made in the resolution “On Securities Admission in Georgian Trading System and Listing”. The matter concerns the demand (Appendix 1 to the resolution) toward turnover of securities, which is calculated as monthly average for the last 3 months.

NEARLY 5M LARI TO BE SPENT ON CONSTRUCTION OF DAM IN NIKOZI

As Georgian Agriculture Ministry told Sarke, nearly 5 million lari will be spent on construction of the dam in the village Nikozi (Shida Kartli region).  For the moment, 80% of construction works has been already finished. The dam, which will supply water to whole Gori district and several villages of Kaspi district, should be set in operation in June.

TRAFFIC ON GUDAURI-KOBI ROAD SECTION IS RESTRICTED

Georgian Roads Department reports that because of heavy snow traffic is restricted on Gudauri-Kobi section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars road for trailers, semitrailers and buses for over 30 passengers. Traffic for cars with two or more driving axles is free.

ALDAGI BCI OFFERS INSURANCE OF LEGAL SERVICE EXPENSES

Insurance company Aldagi BCI announces that it will start offering insurance of legal service expenses from the next week.  Insurance policy is envisaged for physical persons and legal entities as well. As the company told Sarke, it is the first such kind of product on the local insurance market.

JSC IBERIA REFRESHMENT TO PRODUCE ENERGY DRINK AND COLD TEA

David Lomjaria, director general of JSC Iberia Refreshment, told Sarke that producing of energy drink should start in June.  Besides, the company plans to launch production of cold tea by 2010. Lomjaria did not name the expected volume of investments and probable price of the production.  Besides local market, energy drink is envisaged for Armenia and Azerbaijan as well.

BLITZ-SURVEY: EASTER SALES OF EGGS

The next blitz-survey, held by Sarke, showed that the companies do not plan to increase prices on eggs for Easter. The following egg-producing companies were surveyed: Koda, Dilis Produktebi (Morning Products), Patardzeuli.

LLC TAO AND LLC TORNIKE HOLD REHABILITATION OF WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM IN ADIGENI

Gamgeoba (local administration) of Adigeni (Samtskhe-Javakheti region) told Sarke that rehabilitation of the drinking water supply systems will be implemented by LLC Tao and LLC Tornike.  Six companies took part in tender, consisted of two lots. LLC Tao will implement rehabilitation of water supply in village Vakhni (the first lot), while LLC Tornike will implement rehabilitation of water supply in village Udi (the second lot).

ONLY ONE COMPANY APPLIED FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF LLC KUTAISI AIRPORT’S AIR TICKET OFFICE

Only one company applied to the auction, announced by LLC Kutaisi Airport on leasing of non-living area for air ticket office’s establishment, the LLC told Sarke. Results of the auction will be announced by the end of the week, the company noted.

ONE COMPANY BECAME INTERESTED WITH FERROCONCRETE TIES’ DELIVERY FOR GEORGIAN RAILWAY

Only one company, LLC Ferroconcrete Ties Plant, became interested with delivery of ferroconcrete ties for LLC Georgian Railway.  Tender, announced by Georgian Railway, was held these days. Results of the tender will probably be announced in 10 days.

LLC ARTI AND LLC PRIZA TO BE AUCTIONED IN MAY

Large Taxpayers’ Inspection of Georgian Finance Ministry’s Revenue Service brought to auctions the seized property of LLC Arti and LLC Priza. Applications on both auctions will be received through May 11.  Auctions will be held the same day in the Inspection.
