According to the NKD 2002. sections, the production in Mining and quarrying was by 1.3% lower, while in Manufacturing it was by 7.4% and in Electricity, gas and water supply by 7.3% higher in April 2008 than in the same month of 2007. Comparing the period from January to April 2008 with the same period of 2007, according to the MIGs 2001 aggregation, Intermediate goods were by 2.0%, Energy by 4.1%, Capital goods by 8.1% and Non-durable consumer goods by 8.3% higher, while Durable consumer goods were by 4.4% lower. Comparing the period from January to April 2008 with the same period of 2007, according to the NKD 2002. sections, the production in Mining and quarrying was by 2.6 % lower, while in Manufacturing it was by 5.4% and in Electricity, gas and water supply by 8.4% higher. In April 2008, the trend index of the total industrial production was by 0.4% higher than in March 2008 (see G-1.). Detailed volume indices of industrial production − seasonally adjusted time series and trend cycle – are published in the First Release No. 2.1.3., which is usually issued one week after this First Release. link

The BELEX15 index closed at 1.841,50 which is 1,30% up from last week’s result while the BELEXline gained 0,65% on its price since last week. Yet another positive factor is the increased number of transactions which climbed by 59,76% while the overall turnover this week was up by 29,38%. The most traded stock this week was Aik Bank (BSE: AIKB) with total turnover in excess of RSD 596 million while all other stocks had considerably poorer liquidity and trade this week. Overall the number of traded stocks whose prices rose this week were 54 out of 255 traded stocks while 163 stocks lost in value during this week’s trading.The bond trading this week nearly trippled, rising 195% turnover wise from last week.
