SOFIX closed at 1184.04 bps (+1.90%), thus offsetting all the losses from the last one month. Although the volumes remained low the demand seemed to be growing and even some of the buyers played quite aggressively. Among the most actively traded companies in SOFIX were Chimimport (CHIM, BGN 9.90, +3.99%) and First Investment Bank (FIB, BGN 7.41, +2.21%), which both advanced with moderate volumes. The total number of passengers carried increased in the first quarter of 2008 by 4.3%, as compared to the same period of 2007.
