His Excellency Mr. Edward NALBANDIAN, the Chairman-in-Office of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, will visit the BSEC Headquarters in Istanbul on Monday, 24 November 2008.

At the BSEC Headquarters, Minister NALBANDIAN will present the priorities of the Armenian Chairmanship to the representatives of the BSEC Member States, Observers, Sectoral Dialogue Partners, Related Bodies, special guests and the members of the press. These priorities will constitute the roadmap for BSEC for the next six months.

As is known, the Republic of Armenia has assumed the Chairmanship-in-Office of BSEC as of 1 November 2008, for a period of six months ending on 30 April 2009. During this period, the Armenian Chairmanship envisages to implement a comprehensive calendar of events which is expected to enhance BSEC cooperation in a number of areas. Among the high level events, in addition to the Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, the Armenian Chairmanship will host Meetings of the Ministers of Energy, Transport, Agriculture and Environmental Protection.
