* Iceland accession talks to begin
The EU is set to open accession negotiations with Iceland following the unanimous decision to that end taken by the European Council on 17 June.
* Slovenians back arbitration plan for Croatian border dispute
Slovenians have given their backing to the agreement to solve their country’s border dispute with Croatia through international arbitration.
* Croatia opens final three policy-related chapters
Croatia has succeeded in opening the three policy-related chapters on which it had yet to begin talks.
* EU -Turkey: new negotiating Chapter opened
At the meeting of the Accession Conference with Turkey on 30 June, the negotiating Chapter on food safety, veterinary and phytosanitary policy was opened in the country’s negotiations with the EU.
