- Cooperation or competition? - the EU and other stake-holders in the Black Sea region

23 September 2010 - Zielna Conference Centre - Zielna Street No. 37, Warsaw

How can the European Union become the main stake-holder in the Black Sea region which has already gained an enormous political, economic and energy importance for Europe? How the relations between UE and Russia and Turkey - key regional players and EU’s most important neighbours - would develop in the coming years? What is the future of European initiatives directed to the region, especially the Eastern Partnership?

We will try to find answers to these questions next Thursday, 23 September 2010, during the debate Cooperation or competition? - the EU and other stake-holders in the Black Sea region organized within the framework of the project "The Eastern Partnership in the direction of the the new synergy" realized with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.

Our prominent speakers include Professor Rainer Münz, a renowned European economist, member of the Reflection Group on the Future of Europe in 2020-2030 Time Horizon, Katinka Barysch, Deputy Director of the prestigious Centre for European Reform, Ivan Krastev, an outstanding Bulgarian expert on Russia and Austrian and Romanian ministries.
