FIMA Stock Monitor - Daily - Jan 7, 2008 Jan 08, 2008, 09:23 CET | Broker’s Report | SeeNews Daily comment:The start of a new week was quite depressive an announcement on smoking prohibition on all public places in Croatia heavily affected preferred tobacco and tourism Adris Group (ADRS-P-A) stock, and afterwards pulled the popular benchmark down by 2,5% to close at 5147,8 points. The afore mentioned regulation should come in force during 2008 and make the one third of domestic adult population “second line” citizens. Preferred Adris Group stock fell by 7,6% to HRK 536 on a turnover of HRK 6,5 million. Another factor that affected today`s negative mood were economic releases. In the period from January to November 2007, as compared to the same period last year, the labor productivity increased by 5.4%, a slowdown from January – October labor productivity growth rate of 5,9%. The total number of employees in industry in November 2007 was 0.3% higher than in November 2006 and, as compared to October 2007, it was by 0.1% lower. The real retail sales growth rate de celerated to 3% in November (when compared to November 2006), down from an annual 4,6% rise in October.
