Dear Emanuele,

For the first time in Lithuania, local creatives will exhibit an installation made of Sosnowsky’s hogweed in the courtyard of the MO Museum from July 7th to 16th, 2023. The invasive plant species, named after a Russian botanist, will be used to draw public attention to the ongoing war in Ukraine, the consequences of military action on biodiversity and native flora, and to send a message to the NATO Summit participants that protection is needed for the entire living world.

A press release with photos of the installation and the event, as well as statements from the organizers, will be ready on 7 July, but if you would like to have an exclusive interview with the creators of the installation prior to that, please get in touch, and we will be happy to help organize it even before the event.

If you are interested and want to see what the installation by artists Agnė Stirne, Oskaras Stirna, and Eglė Plytnikaitė will look like, you can download high-quality visualizations here.

We ask you to refrain from publishing the news until the press release is distributed on July 7th, 2023.

Kind regards,

Justė
