This photo book is dedicated to active places, spaces where work continues to shape the territory and define its identity. The images depict the gestures, relationships, and skills that animate cities and suburbs, showing work as a living and dynamic presence. It is a journey into the productive present, where energy, memory, and transformation intertwine in the daily pulse of the landscape.

The author

Marco Monari (@marcomonariphotos), photographer and independent scholar, intertwines images, symbolism, and listening to places. With a degree in Environmental Sciences and training in naturopathy, he explores the landscapes of life and work as spaces of emotional and energetic memory. Author of essays and books, winner of the “Un luogo per ZeroBook” competition, he develops research on emotional photography and the image as a threshold between presence, trace, and transformation.
