FIMA Stock Monitor - Daily - Dec 4, 2007 Dec 05, 2007, 09:01 CET | Broker’s Report | SeeNews Daily comment:Stocks opened higher and remind in the positive territory for the whole trading session. The market welcomed the start of negotiations on constitution of new Government as ruling HDZ started talks with center oriented HSS-HSLS coalition. Those parties propound few basic terms that include HRK 6 billon per annum for agriculture, revoke of the stipulation stating drivers can not have any alcohol in their blood when driving and a minimum pension of HRK 1500. As it can be concluded, the biggest benefiter of this will be agricultural and alcohol beverages producers. The popular benchmark added 1,1% today to close at 4692,91 points. However, the turnover was quite modest. Integrated telecom HT (HT-R-A) was the top volume issue today. Its turnover amounted to HRK 6,9 million, while its price added 0,13 % today. It looks like retailers do not give up with getting rid of this stock, while domestic pension funds are constantly increasing their stakes. The commission in ch arge for the sale of state owned stake in Slovenian national telecom operator postponed the deadline for placement of binding bides to 4th of January. Shipping companies extended their gains as the BDI continued to grow. Biggest domestic bulk carrier’s owner, Atlantska plovidba (ATPL-RA) added 3,29%, Uljanik plovidba (ULPL-R-A) rose by 3,99%, while Losinjska plovidba (LPLH-R-A) increased by 0,006%. All of those companies had impressive Q3, during which, the BDI rose from 6201 points to some 9500 points, and continued to its all time high of 11039. Thus, we expect to see even stronger Q4 for shipping companies that own bulk carriers. Toys and apparel retailer was heavily traded today amid news stating Magma (MGMA-RA) became exclusive distributor of Hasbro toys for the Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Magma rose by 1,83% to HRK 276,98 today. CBS released provisional foreign trade data stating that in the period from January to October 2007, the export, presented in million s of US dollars, amounted to 10 079, import to 21 214 and foreign de deficit to 11 135 million US dollars. This is USD 1,76 billion higher than in same period last year. The coverage of import by export was 47.5%, cs. 2006 average of 47,2. http://seenews.com/news/latestnews/fimastockmonitor-daily-dec4_2007-085854

Erste Securities - Croatian Equity Daily - Dec 5, 2007 Dec 05, 2007, 09:55 CET | Broker’s Report | SeeNews MARKET COMMENTLethargy on Croatian equity market continued and investors seemed to be rather cautious. Liquidity of the market remained on pretty low level, with only HRK 40mn traded on Tuesday. However, the CROBEX gained 1.1%, driven by the price growths of number of shares, including Croatia osiguranje (+3.2%), INA (+1.6%) and Ericsson Nikola Tesla (+1.4%). Shipping companies again performed well driven by BDI index growth, with Uljanik plovidba, Atlantska plovidba and Jadroplov gaining 4%, 3.3% and 2.9%, respectively. Construction sector slightly recovered on Tuesday and the price increase was recorded by Tehnika (+1.9%), Institut gra_evinarstva Hrvatske (+1.6%) and Ingra (+1.4%). Bad performances were seen by Luka Plo_e (-2.6%), Petrokemija (-2.5%), Slatinska banka (-2.3%) and HUP Zagreb (-1%). http://seenews.com/news/latestnews/erstesecurities-croatianequitydaily-dec5_2007-094922
