Women’s Movement FEMEN calls upon the women to start sex-boycott 8th March from 00:00 till 24:00 to protest against sexual exploitation of Ukrainian women.

On the eve of 8th March, that turned from the «Women’s Rights Protection Day» into a triumph of men’s chauvinism, we would like to remind that every 4th prostitute in Europe is from Ukraine. Daily ukrainian women experience sexual harassment at work and in Universities. If fact, we have no power – only 8% women are represented in the Parliament. Half of the population of Ukraine with majority of women is beyond the powerty line. With this statistics, ukrainian politicians try to lobby legalisation of prostitution by Euro 2012 Football Championship, which will mean literally putting Ukrainian women on sale.

It is enough for us to be happy to receive routine congratulations and believe that we are respected and deified. On 8th March we must show our women’s solidarity and start a real sex-blackmail.

Let’s make our sexuality and beauty, which are much admired by the world, our main weapon in the fight for our rights!
