After two months of intense rehearsals the interactive installation ’BLEIER RESEARCH Incorporated’ by Danish/Austrian participatory theatre SIGNA premieres on 8 December. Each performance is considerably influenced by the role of the audience.
- The application round for artists for Tallinn Music Week festival 2012 is open
From 29-31 March 2012 Tallinn Music Week festival will take place for the fourth time. It’s a showcase festival that aims to present to local audiences the most exciting and up-to-date Estonian music and to present our best artists to international music industry and press.
- European Eyes on Japan Photo Exhibition opens
The Month of Photography is officially over but there is still one gemstone to come. European Eyes on Japan, which opens this week, is part of Tallinn’s Month of Photography. The exhibition is collaboration between the two current European Capitals of Culture Tallinn 2011, Turku 2011 and the EU-Japan Fest. The exhibition is showing at Temnikova & Kasela Gallery.
- President of Estonia recognized volunteers and promoters of voluntary work
President Toomas Hendrik Ilves thanked on Sunday, 4th December 2011 ten volunteers, two volunteer leaders and companies that promote volunteering by their employees.

* Ene-Liis Semper 14. october - 31. december 2011, Tallinn
Ene-Liis Semper’s exhibition will comprise a massive spatial installation and new video works. The 5th floor of Kumu Art Museum will become the new locus for Semper, who has been examining spatial tension in her installations, stage productions and other performances for many years.

Christmas time will bring a unique and playful art and design event called Gingerbread Mania – something not seen anywhere else in the world! All of the items on display in this exhibition will be made of gingerbread dough and everything will contain a big dollop of magic.

* Happy End - 22.12.2011 22. december 2011, Tallinn
The year as European Capital of Culture in Tallinn will finish on 22 December with an intense programme at the seashore and in city centre. As part of ’Happy End’ a unique one and only screening of ’60 Seconds of Solitude’ will take place at Tallinn harbour, a new composition by Margo Kõlar ’Song of the Tower Bells’ will sound on Freedom Square accompanied by a video projection on the facade of St John’s church.
