From today tickets are on sale for the last and one of the most thrilling theatre projects of the European Capital of Culture Tallinn 2011 by the Danish participatory theatre SIGNA „BLEIER RESEARCH INCORPORATED“. The border testing experiment will take place in Standard building (Kopli 25) from 8.–11. December and 13.–15. December.

It’s December and Christmas time, but outside the summer sun blazes. Something is wrong! The Mayan calendar predicts that the world will end on December 21, 2012. Every Estonian has to decide how they will spend their last days. Rait finally wants to confess his feelings to his lifelong love, the starlet Lenna Kuurmaa. His friend Mihkel, hits his head, goes bonkers, and needs to save the world by sacrificing that very same Lenna to the Sun Gods. Brenda wants to escape her dictatorial mother but insane asylum orderlies chase her. Ervin wins the world’s last lottery and is so upset by not having any way to spend it that he wants to die from misery. Confusion reigns. But hope always dies last... And, fortunately, the end finally comes...
- TALLINN 2011 presents: Animated Dreams and Animacampus at Black Nights Film Festival
The most important animation festival in the Baltic and Nordic regions, which runs between 16 and 20 November 2011, promises a feast of short and feature animation from across the world whilst new initiative AnimaCampus, running 15-19 November, will be a meeting point for young animators eager to learn more about their craft.
- The best of young international artists gather in Tallinn next week
The arts festival NEU/NOW, which is connected to the European Capital of Culture Tallinn 2011 program, will be launched in Tallinn on November 17. 35 projects by young artists from 17 different countries are featured in the NEU/NOW Festival in categories of visual arts, design, film, theatre, dance, music and sound. Among the projects are five from Estonia.

* Ene-Liis Semper 14. october - 31. december 2011, Tallinn
Ene-Liis Semper’s exhibition will comprise a massive spatial installation and new video works. The 5th floor of Kumu Art Museum will become the new locus for Semper, who has been examining spatial tension in her installations, stage productions and other performances for many years.
* 15th St Martin’s Day Fair 10. november 2011
The St Martin’s Day fair is the biggest handicraft and folk event in Estonia. Alongside acclaimed Estonian artisans, craftsmen from many European countries will be selling their wares.
* Tallinn International Piano Competition 10. november 2011, Tallinn
Estonia’s piano traditions date back centuries, as is reflected in the second international pianists’ competition being held in Tallinn. Young pianists from all over the world between the ages of 16 and 32 will be putting themselves to the test, sharing their experiences and displaying their skills to audiences.
* International conference: ‘Ornaments – keys to the world’ 12. november 2011, , Tallinn
At this international conference, being held on 12 & 13 November, artisans and craftsmen from different countries whose work is based on local legends, motifs, patterns or ornaments will talk about the secrets of their success.
* World championships in classic bodybuilding 2011 19. november 2011, Tallinn
The paragon of classic bodybuilding is the sculptures of ancient Greece – the field does not necessarily require muscle mass, but ideal body proportions. Classic bodybuilding is being considered for inclusion as an Olympic event.
