This was mainly due to the increase of Banks’ liabilities (EUR 3,493 million, 60.5%). By end-October 2008 long-term liabilities amounted to EUR 22,553 million (61.9% of total debt), and short-term liabilities came to EUR 13,871.3 million (38.1% of total debt).

Statistical Office of Serbia - Tourism - Nov 2008 Dec 29, 2008, 11:59 CET | State Agencies Reports | AII Data Processing Ltd The data are collected by monthly statistical survey (form TU-11) and relate to overnight stays and tourists arrivals in accommodation facilities.The following indicators of tourist traffic in the Republic of Serbia are to be noted:- In the period from January to October 2008 in the Republic of Serbia 6447813 overnight stays were registered (index 101), out of which 5238461 overnight stays (index 102) by domestic tourists and 1209352 overnight stays (index 95) by foreign tourists.- In the same period in spas registered was the number of 2104353 overnight stays (index 101), and in mountin resorts 1701022 overnight stays (index 100).- In October in Republic of Serbia 653978 overnight stays were registered (index 101)..br- In the same month in spas 228431 overnight stays were registered (index 110), and in mountain resorts 128178 overnight stays (index 94).Of the European and non-European countries selected for the survey, in October the tourists from Bosnia and Herzegovina made
the highest number of overnight stays and the tourists from Denmark made the lowest number of overnight stays.
