Local Time- Oct 24, 2008 Oct 24, 2008, 13:13 CET | Broker’s Report | SeeNews The trading on the Bucharest stock exchange (BVB) has been suspended today at 1.41 pm local time. According to BVB regulations, the General Director can decide to temporary suspend the trading if the main index (BET) records a day-on-day decrease of 12%. If the BET index records a 15% decrease compared with the last closing, the trading is suspended for the whole trading session. Today’s trading was suspended when the BET index went down 8.49%. If adjusted for Banca Transilvania weight in the main index (28.95%), which is currently suspended from trading, BET recorded today a negative performance of 12%, triggering a temporary closing of BVB.
