MARKET WRAP-UPThe indices retreated on Wednesday, offsetting all the gains from the beginning of the week. SOFIX stepped 1.41% down after the negative moves from Chimimport (6C4, BGN 2.273, -2.78%) with 131k traded, and Monbat (5MB, BGN 4.70, - 2.89%) which registered total volume of 23k. Among the most active names were also Albena (6AB) which attracted buying interest for more than 8.2k shares, predominantly at BGN 29.50 (+0.64%), and Bulgartabac Holding (57B) which for second consecutive day registered volume of above 10k shares, again at BGN 17.20. BG40 also closed bellow the line, losing 0.90% to 104.54, mostly influenced by the drop in Orgachim (5ORG), which declined 3.50% with the ridiculous 15 shares traded. The real estate sector didn’t seem to be influenced by the negative mood as ELARG Agricultural Fund (4EC) even advanced 2.56% to BGN 0.72, leading BGREIT to a 0.55% gain to 40.02.

The most traded issuer was again SIF Oltenia (SIF5) which fell 2.73%, to RON 0.89 per share, on a RON 6.38m turnover, followed by Petrom (SNP), which advanced 0.38% on RON 2.73m liquidity. The BSE exchange segment daily turnover decreased to RON 21.49m, less than half compared to the previous trading day.

Million-year-old mammoth skeleton found

A skeleton of a mammoth believed to be one million years old was discovered near Kostolac in eastern Serbia. The discovery was made at the Drmno surface coal mine, close to the Imperial Mausoleum of the Viminacium Archeological Park. The bones were found 27 meters deep, in a layer of yellow sand.
