EBRD TO BECOME 25% OWNER OF BANK CARTU
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) reports that it plans to acquire 25% of bank Cartu shares. Giorgi Nozadze, head of relations with international financial institutions of Cartu, told Sarke that negotiations are being held at this stage on the mentioned issue.

RAK Investment Authority Georgia (Georgian subsidiary of Arab Rakeen Development) told Sarke that the company plans to start 2 projects in Ajara in summer. In particular, living complex is planned to be build in Gonio.
TURNING OF THE 14TH BERTH OF POTI PORT IN CONTAINER TERMINAL TO BE FINISHED BY SUMMER
Turning of the 14th berth of Poti port in the container terminal will be finished in June 2009, LLC Poti Sea Port told Sarke. Project cost makes up 11 million EUR.
GALT&TAGGART SECURITIES LEADS ON UKRAINIAN AND BELARUS STOCK MARKETS
Ukrainian representation of Georgian investment company Galt&Taggart Securities announced that in January the company was acknowledged the leader on the secondary stock market of Belarus. Volume of company’s transactions after getting the license in Belarus (August 2008) made up $2.79 million.
