Coastal cooperation prospects were discussed today in Tbilisi at the informational meeting of EU Black Sea Coastal Cooperation Program. The arrangement was held in terms of European Neighborhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI).

AZERBAIJAN, UKRAINE AND TURKEY ACCOUNT FOR MAJOR SHARE OF SINGLE PERMISSIONS ON INTERNATIONAL CARGO SHIPMENTS
United Transport Administration reports that Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Turkey account for major share of single quoted permissions on international cargo shipments. Namely, by the state of January 28 total number of issued permissions made up 614 units, out of which 487 (i.e. 79%) were issued to the above-mentioned three countries.

LLC GEORGIAN RAILWAY EXPECTS TO PAY 30M LARI AS DIVIDENDS IN 2009
LLC Georgian Railway reports that it plans to pay 30 million lari as dividends in 2009. This sum is 2 times less, if compared with the volume of paid dividends in 2008 – 60 million lari.
CARGO SHIPMENTS OF THE RAILWAY REDUCED BY 3.1% IN 2008
LLC Georgian Railway reports that volume of cargo shipments made up 21.3 million t in 2008, which is less by 3.1% compared with the year 2007 (22 million t). Irakli Ezugbaia, director general of the LLC notes that despite Russian aggression in August and global crisis, the railway managed to maintain the main part of cargo shipments.
LLC GEORGIAN RAILWAY TO IMPLEMENT PROJECTS OF 101M LARI IN 2009
LLC Georgian Railway announced that it plans to implement capital projects with total cost 101 million lari in 2009. Out of which, contracts on projects of 60 million lari have been signed and works are being already underway.
RAILWAY DOES NOT PLAN REDUCTION OF STUFF
Irakli Ezugbaia, director general of LLC Georgian Railway denied plans existence on staff reduction in the railway. Current number of employees makes up 15,440.
UKRAINIAN COMPANY TO PROJECT MTKVARI HES
JSC Caucasus Energy&Infrastructure informs that Ukrainian company Ukrhydroproject will project hydroelectric station on Mtkvari river. The company will start work on projecting from February 1.
HEIDELBERG CEMENT GEORGIA LAUNCHED FILTRATION SYSTEMS IN RUSTAVI AND KASPI CEMENT PLANTS IN FULL SCALE
Heidelberg Cement Georgia launched filtration systems in Rustavi and Kaspi cement plants in full scale already a month ago, told Sarke head of company’s marketing and communications department Akaki Chkhaidze. To remind, it was planned to launch filtration systems on the 2nd and the 3rd furnaces of Kaspi plant in October 2008, while on Rustavi plant – in December.

JSC KOLKHURI ABRESHUMI PROPERTY IS AUCTIONED FOR 1.5M LARI
Bankruptcy manager of JSC Kolkhuri Abreshumi (Kolkhida Silk) announced auction on JSC’s property. Its starting price makes up 1.5 million lari.
