USAID TO FINANCE PAYMENT PROCESSING SYSTEM AND INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM INTRODUCTION IN NBG

Today, president of National Bank of Georgia (NBG) Giorgi Kadagidze and the US ambassador to Georgia John Taft have signed agreement on grant allotment to NBG. The grant of $3.29 million will be issued by USAID and will be used by NBG for introduction of payment processing system and investments management system.

ENERGY PROJECT WORTH 90M EUR TO BE IMPLEMENTED IN CHOKHATAURI

According to Georgian Energy Ministry, series of hydroelectric stations with total capacity of 41.2 MW will be constructed near village Zoti (Chokhatauri district of Guria region). Cost of Zoti Cascade project amounts to 90 million EUR.

PROCREDIT BANK STARTS NEW HEAD OFFICE CONSTRUCTION

ProCredit Bank has announced today that construction of new head office building will be launched in Tbilisi, on Kazbegi Avenue. Construction of 7-storey building should be completed by mid 2011.

15.4% OF VTB BANK GEORGIA SHARES SOLD THROUGH OTC DEAL

According to Georgian Stock Exchange, OTC deal has been fixed on VTB Bank Georgia shares today. Namely, 13.34 million shares (15.4% of total emission) were sold for 13.34 million lari.

Only one company expressed interest in rehabilitation of part of local importance motor roads in Ozurgeti (Guria region). The tender, being announced on the subject for the second time, was held these days.

JSC ALIONI PROPERTY IS RE-AUCTIONED AT THE SAME PRICE

Tbilisi Regional Center of Georgian Finance Ministry’s Revenue Service (tax inspection) announced auction on property of JSC Alioni afresh. Total starting price is unchanged, making the same 2.06 million lari.

AUCTION ON LLC ELEKTROSHEDUGEBA PROPERTY FAILED

Tbilisi Regional Center of Georgian Finance Ministry’s Revenue Service (tax inspection) told Sarke that property of LLC Elektroshedugeba (Electric Welding) was not sold at the auction, held yesterday. Staring price of the property made up 901,132 lari.

LLC WOOD SERVICE SOLD LUMBER OF 25,000 LARI

Wood processing company LLC Wood Service is satisfied with results of the first auction, where it sold wood materials. As company’s marketing director Archil Papava told Sarke, revenue amounted to 25,000 lari in total.
