GEORGIA TO GET $40M FROM ADB
Finance Ministry announced that the Georgian government reached the principle agreement with Asian Development Bank (ADB) on getting credit of $40 million. Out of the total volume, $10 million will be allotted by Asian Development Fund (ADF), while $30 million – by Ordinary Capital Resources (OCR) fund, which are the members of ADB.
BLITZ-SURVEY: GEORGIAN BUSINESS AT THE BACKGROUND OF CURRENT POLITICAL ACTIONS
The next blitz-survey, held by Sarke among local companies, showed that the greatest part of top managers talk about reduction of sales and worsening of business development at the background of ongoing protest actions. LLC SANTE STARTS RE-EQUIPMENT PROCESS FROM JUNE
Director general of LLC Sante Archil Aroshidze told Sarke that the company will get the first tranche from the US Overseas Private Investments Corporation (OPIC) in June. The sum will be totally spent for re-equipment.
JSC AMALTHEA SPENT 805,613 LARI FOR RE-EQUIPMENT LAST YEAR
According to annual report of JSC Amalthea, company’s re-equipment and reconstruction was finished last year, because of which production was stopped for 2 years. The company spent 805,613 lari for re-equipment.
RUSTAVI COURT PROHIBITED UNITED TELECOM TO STOP SERVICE TO LOCAL OPERATOR
United Telecom reports that Rustavi City Court prohibited it to cancel telecommunication service to LLC Georgian Corporation of Central Communications, local operator of Rustavi. In its turn, the Corporation applied to Rustavi City Court on April 22, demanding renewal of service (use of cable pairs, laying of cables in canalization, etc.) from the United Telecom.
PROFIT OF JSC SAKTRANSPROEKTI – GREEN OFFICE INCREASED 6 TIMES
According to the report of JSC Saktransproekti – Green Office, profit for the year 2008 made up 2.16 million lari, which exceeded 6 times figures of the year 2007 (350,100 lari). Before the year 2000, the company was engaged in construction and design works, while its current core business is leasing of spaces.
LLC GOBRONI TO REHABILITATE PART OF LOCAL ROADS IN OZURGETI
LLC Gobroni will hold rehabilitation works on the part of the local roads in Ozurgeti district (Guria region), gamgeoba (local administration) of Ozurgeti told Sarke. The mentioned company became the winner of the first lot, which was rivaled by 5 companies.
