EXPERT DAVID KBILADZE CONSIDERS IT UNREASONABLE FORMING OF THE SUPERVISORY BOARD OF SAKSTAT ACCORDING TO THE OFFERED MODEL

Academic doctor of economy, David Kbiladze, thinks that it is unreasonable to join management of NBG, Economy and Finance Ministries in the supervisory board of Sakstat. Such forming of the board is envisaged by the draft bill “About the State Statistics”, which is being discussed in the Georgian Parliament now.

WB ALLOTTED $70M CREDIT TO GEORGIA

International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), member of World Bank (WB) group, allotted $70 million credit to Georgia for local roads rehabilitation. Georgian Finance Minister Kakha Baindurashvili and Acting WB Country Manager for Georgia Tamar Sulukhia signed the corresponding agreement today.

SAKARTVELOS BANKI ACCOUNTS FOR ONE THIRD OF ATMS SHARE

Sakartvelos Banki (Bank of Georgia) reports that number of its ATMs amounted to 416 by the end of 2008. This figure makes up nearly 31% of total number of ATMs in the country (1,344).
