GIORGI KADAGIDZE ADOPTED AS MEMBER OF NBG BOARD

The Georgian Parliament adopted (86 votes “pro”) Giorgi Kadagidze the member of the board of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) at today’s plenary meeting. Giorgi Kadagidze, 29, graduated from Tbilisi European School of Management (ESM, MBA – 2001), the US Preston University the same year.

BUDGET-2009 ENVISAGES 138M LARI FOR REFUGEES

KOR STANDARD BANK TO CREDIT AGRICULTURE

Director general of KOR Standard Bank Imran Khizar Hayat announced that the bank plans to hold negotiations with various companies in order to provide farmers a possibility to acquire fertilizers, seeds and other necessary production in reduced prices. Agricultural loans will start from 10,000 lari up to 1 million, interest rate – 18-24%.

FRONTERA REVEALED NEW OIL IN MIRZAANI

Frontera Resources Co. reported yesterday that it has discovered new oil on the 12th block (Mirzaani field, Kakheti region). The company plans to drill a well of 800-1,300 m in depth.
