ITERA GEORGIA TO ACQUIRE NATURAL GAS EXTRACTED ON NINOTSMINDA FIELD

Itera Georgia has won the auction, announced by Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation on purchasing natural gas, extracted on Ninotsminda field. According to the Corporation, Itera Georgia offered the highest price – $265 for 1,000 cubic m gas, against starting price of $230.

NBG ANNOUNCES TENDER ON BANKING SYSTEM ACQUISITION

National Bank of Georgia (NBG) has announced a tender on banking system acquisition. Envelopes with applications will be opened on June 9.

TBC BANK ANNOUNCED PROFIT OF 784,000 LARI IN Q1

TBC Bank announced that its profit in the 1st quarter of 2009 amounted to 784,000 lari, which is less by 95% compared with the same period of 2008. Total assets amounted to 1.78 billion lari, which is less by 13.8% compared with the previous year.

REPUBLIC RESUMED ITS PLAN ON LAUNCHING NEW BRANCH EVERY MONTH

Republic has started new branch in Tbilisi today (Mukhiani, block IVa), which is 46th in the country. To remind, Republic had adopted a strategy, scoping to start one branch every month.
