WINE EXPORT INCREASED BY 8.5% IN A YEAR
As Georgian Agriculture Ministry reports, 8.48 million bottles of wine (6.36 million l) exported from Georgia by the state of 9 months of 2008. This rate is more by 8.5% compared with the same period of 2007.
GREENS EXPORT FROM GEORGIA INCREASED IN A YEAR
As Georgian Agriculture Ministry reports, 1,200 t of greens were exported from Georgia in January-September 2008, making revenue totaled to $441,110. These rates exceed previous year’s same period with 26.3% and 4.9%, respectively.
CITRUS HARVEST SEASON STARTED IN AJARA
Georgian Agriculture Ministry reported that citrus harvest season started in Ajara today. In order to hold the season successfully, Agriculture Minister Bakur Kvezereli opened coordination headquarters in Batumi.
MCG FINANCED THE NEXT 10 PROJECTS
In terms of agribusiness development project, Millennium Challenge Georgia (MCG) fund signed grant agreements with 10 farmers. Volumes of grants vary from $5,000 to $50,000, while total budget amounts to $386,360.

ENERGOPRO GEORGIA STARTED ELECTRIC NET REHABILITATION IN BATUMI
JSC EnergoPro Georgia announced that it has started rehabilitation of Batumi electric net. The works should be finished by the end of 2008.
MAGTI TO INCREASE NUMBER OF AGENCIES, LINKED TO SINGLE GOVERNMENTAL NETWORK
Mobile communications operator Magti is going to increase by the end of 2008 number of objects, which are linked to the single governmental network, Zurab Gurgenidze, Magti’s deputy director general on communications, told Sarke.
According to Gurgenidze, the company completed first stage of the project on November 3, 2008 and linked more than 400 offices of 16 governmental institutions to the single governmental network.
MAGTI WILL START COMMERCIAL WIMAX SERVICE FROM SPRING 2009
Mobile communications operator Magti will start commercial WiMAX-based internet service on spring 2009, announced director general of Magti David Lee at the briefing toady.
According to Lee, at this stage the company implements service testing.
UNITED TELECOM DOES NOT DISTRIBUTE DIVIDENDS FROM PROFIT OF 2007
Dividends from JSC United Telecom of Georgia’s profit of 2007 were not distributed. Shareholders meeting, held these days, decided to direct the profit totally at company’s development.
JSC TAMARIONI FACED LOSSES BECAUSE OF REPAIR WORKS
According to the report of JSC Tamarioni (restaurant on Gorgasali Street, in old part of Tbilisi), the company finished the first half of 2008 with 4,000 lari losses. This rate is reduced by 18.37% compared with the same period of 2007.
LAND PLOT AND ACCOUNT RECEIVABLE OF LLC WATER SUPPLY AND HEATING SYSTEMS TRUST ARE NOT SOLD
Land plot (1,304.3 square m) and account receivable (5.65 million lari) of LLC Water Supply and Heating Systems Trust, auctioned by the company’s bankruptcy manager, were not sold again. Staring price of the object made up 2 million lari this time.
AREAS OF JSC GUDAURI WERE LEASED
Two lots were issued at yesterday’s auction on leasing of JSC Gudauri’s areas.
Namely, skies rental outlet, located in Gudauri hotel, was passed in lease to LLC Mega Sport for 20,000 lari per month, while the shop in the hotel was passed to LLC Mogzauri for 14,000 lari per month.
LAND PLOTS, AUCTIONED IN AJARA, WERE NOT SOLD
As Ajara Finance and Economy Ministry reports, auctions on objects located in Ajara, which should have been held yesterday, failed because of applications absence. At this stage, the Ministry does not name the date of the next auction.
