PRIME-MINISTER DOES NOT SPECIFY VOLUME OF DONORS’ AID YET
Georgian Prime Minister Lado Gurgenidze announced today at the government meeting that Georgia will get “several hundreds of millions dollars” from international institutions in near future.
To remind, issue of aid for Georgia should be considered at the donors’ conference meeting in Brussels on October 22.
MONETARY POLICY RATE REMAINS UNCHANGED
National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported that Monetary Policy Committee decided yesterday to leave basic rate of monetary policy (refinancing interest rate) on the level of 10%.
The Committee noted that because of small level of participation of short-term foreign capital in the country’s economic, situation on the world financial markets will not have great influence on Georgian financial system.
AJARA GOVERNMENT ALLOTS 1M LARI TO SUBSIDY MANDARINS’ PURCHASE FROM POPULATION
Ajara government will pay additional 10 tetri per 1 kg of second-grade mandarins to residents of region, chairman of Ajara government Levan Varshalomidze announced today. For that end, Ajara governemnt allots 1 million lari from the budget of autonomy.

Ajara Finance and Economy Ministry for the fourth time announced auction on the building of former corrosion laboratory in Batumi. Starting price is reduced by 20% and makes up 800,000 lari.

Georgian Economic Development Ministry announces that LLC Arto Ceramico acquired the state owned land plot in Poti for $400,000. This company appeared the only one, which accepted responded to bids invitation of the Ministry, announced on September 3.
