MEMORANDUM TO NE SIGNED ON BAKHVIHES-3 CONSTRUCTION
Georgian Energy Ministry announced that memorandum with LLC Bakhvi Hydro Power (Georgian-Estonian consortium) will be signed tomorrow in Ozurgeti (Guria region). The matter concerns BakhviHES-3 (6 MW) construction in Guria, expected to start in June 1 and finish within 2 years.
VTB BANK GEORGIA TO INCREASE CAPITAL BY 15.75M LARI
VTB Bank Georgia announced that it is going to increase chartered capital by 15.75 million lari. The growth will be implemented through new emission (public offering).
REPUBLIC TOUGHENED DREAM CARD TERMS
Bank Republic announced that new terms of Dream Card use are entered into force since May 1. Namely, commission charges in Republic ATMs have increased from 1% to 1.5%, while on other bank ATMs – from 2% to 3%.
TKIBULI COAL-CONCENTRATING PLANT TO START EXPORT FROM LATE MAY
Export of coal, processed at Tkibuli coal-concentrating plant, to Armenia is planned to launch from late May (15,000 t monthly), International Energy Corporation investments’ director Giorgi Chikovani has told Sarke. Besides, negotiations are ongoing with Turkey as well.
LAUNCHING OF SEMI-COKE PLANT IN KUTAISI DELAYED UNTIL 2010
Giorgi Chikovani, investments director of International Energy Corporation, announced that launching of semi-coke plant in Kutaisi was delayed until 2010. According to Chikovani, part of construction works has already been finished, but construction is suspended until the end of 2009 because of the financial problems.
UNITED TELECOM FINISHED SWITCHING TO DIGITAL STATIONS IN VAKE DISTRICT OF TBILISI
JSC United Telecom reports that the company finished switching of Vake clients to digital stations. The matter concerns 23,000 clients of 22, 23, 25 and 29 indices as well as of 91 remote station.
COMMUNICATION COMMISSION EXTENDED LICENSE TO MAGTI
According to Georgian National Communication Commission, GSM-1800 license of mobile communication operator Magti has been extended by 10 years. Magti should pay 35.1 million lari for extension within 2 months.
MAGTI EASES MAGTI-FIX TERMS
Mobile communications operator Magti announced that new terms of Magti-Fix service (wireless fixed telephone of CDMA standard) entered into force from May 1. Namely, outcoming call will not be switched off until the balance is over, while incoming calls will not be switched off during a year after the last payment.
NAME AND DIRECTOR OF TBILISI’S WATER-SUPPLYING COMPANY CHANGED
LLC Tbilisis Tskali (Tbilisi Water, water-supplying and sewerage company) reports that it changed the name for Georgian Water and Power (GWP). Besides, structural changes were made and German citizen Jorg Matis was appointed director general.
CARTU UNIVERSAL TO EXPAND COMPANY CAFE CHAIN FOR 2010
As LLC Cartu Universal has told Sarke, company cafés are planned to open in Tbilisi and Batumi (in Batumi – large one) for 2010. The company plans to invest $300,000 for that end.

LLC Georgian Railway informs that tender on reconstruction of Poti station is announced afresh. The tender will be held on June 1.

AUCTIONS ON INTERNATIONAL BUILDING COMPANY, ARTI AND PRIZA FAILED
Tbilisi Regional Center of Finance Ministry’s Revenue Service has told Sarke, that property of LLC International Building Company, LLC Arti and LLC Priza was not sold in the auction these days. The auctions failed due to lack of applications, while date for the next ones is not specified yet, the Center notes.

As Tbilisi Regional Center of Georgian Finance Ministry’s Incomes Service told Sarke, only 2 cars were sold out of LLC Sanitari Gldani 2000 property, which was auctioned these days. Total revenue amounted to 12,000 lari.
