GEORGIA EXPORTED TO KYRGYZSTAN MAINLY DRUGS, WHILE IMPORTED LEGUMES
Georgian Statistics Department reports that Georgian export to Kyrgyzstan made up $1.7 million in 2008, exceeding previous year’s same figures by 97.6%. Out of which, drugs accounted for 54%.
MINERAL WATERS AND NUTS ACCOUNTED FOR THE LARGEST SHARE OF EXPORT TO MOLDOVA
Georgian Statistics Department reports that Georgian export to Moldova totaled to $618,500 in 2008, which is less by 26.4% compared with the same rates of 2007. Out of which, mineral waters and nuts export accounted for over 65%.
DEVELOPMENT CONCEPT OF FORESTRY SECTOR ENVISAGES INVENTORY OF FORESTS
Georgian Environment Protection and Natural Resources Ministry prepared a development concept of forestry sector, where implementation of inventory is stressed. The document notes that there is no reliable information about forests resources because of non-implementation of inventory during tens of years.

MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS OPERATOR MOBITEL INCREASED RATE OF MEGOBREBI TARIFF
Mobile communications operator Mobitel (Beeline brand) announced increasing of rate of Megobrebi (Friends) tariff by 0.02 lari. From March 23, 1 minute will cost 0.17 lari instead of 0.15 lari.
INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CORPORATION OF GEORGIA DOUBLED HESES’ GENERATION IN 2008
Malkhaz Iaseshvili, director general of International Energy Corporation of Georgia, told Sarke that annual generation of HESes (hydroelectric stations), which belong to the Corporation, made up 114 million KWh in 2008. According to the Corporation, this rate exceeds previous year’s same figures 2 times.
REHABILITATION OF ADIGENI WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM TO START
