GEORGIAN TRANSIT OF OIL AND GAS INCREASED IN 2008
Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation reports that 252.3 million barrels of crude oil were delivered in 2008 through oil pipelines, passing the territory of Georgia. Out of which, transit of 246.7 million barrels of Azerbaijani crude oil was implemented through Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline in 2008, which exceeds previous year’s volume by 14%.
JSC WISSOL PETROLEUM GEORGIA BROUGHT PRICES ON DIESEL FUEL DOWN
JSC Wissol Petroleum Georgia (oil products importer and seller) announced that it has reduced prices on diesel fuel by 5 tetri from today. Namely, 1 l of Eurodiesel costs 1.25 lari, Diesel Standard – 1.10 lari.
HYPERMARKET GOODWILL DELAYED OPENING OF BRANCHES IN TBILISI UNTIL APRIL
Hypermarket Goodwill delayed opening of two branches in Tbilisi until April, the company told Sarke. Opening of the branches, initially planned for February, depends on finishing of those construction projects, where branches of Goodwill should be placed, the company noted.
VTB BANK GEORGIA OPENS A NEW BRANCH IN OZURGETI
VTB Bank Georgia reports that it will open a new branch in Ozurgeti tomorrow, which will become the first branch opened by the bank current year. The branch will be located in the local trade center.

National Bank of Georgia (NBG) announced a tender on health and life insurance to its staff. The service should be provided for 2 years (2009-2010).
GEORGIAN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MINISTRY TO AUDIT PROPERTY IN TBILISI AND REGIONS
Georgian Economic Development Ministry announced a tender on audit of the immovable property in Tbilisi and the regions. The service should be provided to the Ministry and its territorial bodies (regional administrations of state property listing and privatization) until the end of 2009.
CREATION OF TOURISTIC INFRASTRUCTURE IN TSKALTUBO TO BE FINISHED IN SUMMER
Georgian Economic Development Ministry reports that establishing touristic infrastructure is underway at the territory of the karstic cave in Tskaltubo (Imereti region). Works, started in 2007, should be finished by the end of May.
LLC BELBAU TO REHABILITATE SECTION OF AKHALTSIKHE-NINOTSMINDA ROAD
Georgian Roads Department announced that LLC Belbau will carry out rehabilitation works on road section (1-18 km) of Akhaltsikhe-Ninotsminda highway of the international importance. The company was selected through the tender.
REHABILITATION TO START ON A NUMBER OF INTERNATIONAL IMPORTANCE ROADS’ SECTIONS
Georgian Roads Department announced winners of the tender on rehabilitation of sections of a number of roads of the international importance. Rehabilitation works on Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze road (231-234 km) will be implemented by LLC Indico, while on Ponichala-Marneuli-Guguti road (46-49 km) – LLC Alliance-2007.
AUCTION ON TWO SHIPS FAILED AGAIN
Financial Agency of Georgian Finance Ministry told Sarke that auction, had to be held today on two ships (seiner and dry cargo ship), failed again. The ships had been auctioned for the fifth time already.
