National Agency of Public Register of Georgian Ministry of Justice announced that it implemented 14,629 registrations in Tbilisi in March instead of 17,869 in the same period of 2008. Number of registrations countrywide made up 34,373 (according to data of 55 territorial registration services of the Agency).

EBRD TO ALLOT $20M TO CARTU IN MARCH-APRIL

Ramaz Kvatadze, executive director of Georgian Research and Education Networking Association (GRENA), told Sarke that full access to European scientific and educational computer network GEANT2 will be possible in a few days. Test access is being implemented for already a week, he noted.
ISSUING OF BIOMETRIC PASSPORTS IN GEORGIA TO START FROM THE END OF 2009
