Elana - Bulgaria Daily Report - May 8, 2008 May 09, 2008, 08:52 CET | Broker’s Report | SeeNews Market HighlightsThursday’s session was continuation of recent trend – low volumes and slight selling pressure with predominating speculative interest. Top performers were small caps with low liquidity. Almost 80% of indexes’ components closed in the red in thin volumes. Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria (ZHBG: 2.10; -0.94%) was the most traded position and 120 477 shares changed hands during the session. The company is 53% below the IPO’s price. 2007 net profit of ZHBG was BGN 11.6 m and sales amounted BGN 36 m as the report include only the last two months of the year.Lead and Zink Complex (OTZK: 40.78; +4.75%) erased some of the losses after the disappointed quarterly results. OTZK is among speculators’ favorite positions but the thin bid offers won’t be able to support the position in case of further market sell offs. Even the liquid positions like Chimimport (CHIM: 8.82; +0.69%) and Monbat (MONBAT: 24.69; -0.80%) were hardly changed in very low trading activity. We rega rd this as a sign of absence of large sellers but we cannot exclude further weakness toward the 1000 threshold for SOFIX.
