Belsat journalists are still under pressure.

Journalist Alyaksadnr Barazenka told BelaPAN news agency that he received a summons to the General Prosecutor’s Office on October 26. “I was summoned by counsel of justice Pavel Yeliseyeu.” He said.

The conversation was about Barazenka’s activity. “I was asked if I worked for Belsat and if I work with journalist Alina Radzchynskaya. I refused to answer these questions. Pavel Yliseyeu wrote this in a report and said he regretted he had to hear that. He said a prosecutor’s office is not a punitive body but an agency that monitors observance of the law. He said I demonstrated antisocial behavior by refusing to answer his questions,” Barazenka says.

The journalist was set free after a 20-minute conversation. No warning was issued to him

On October 27, journalists Alina Radachynskaya and Aleh Razhkou were summoned to the General Prosecutor’s Office. The latter refused to talk to prosecutors, but no warning was issued to him. Radachynskaya was warned against cooperation with foreign mass media without accreditation.
