PODGORICA, 12 June 2009 - A conference to be held Monday in Podgorica will look at the co-operation between the Government of Montenegro and non-governmental organizations.
The conference marks the end of an OSCE Mission to Montenegro project that aimed to strengthen the co-operation between authorities and civil society.
The OSCE Mission is organizing the conference together with the Government’s Office for co-operation with NGOs. A publication on the Government’s strategy for civil society co-operation including an Action Plan, a documentary on such co-operation will be presented during the conference.
Deputy Prime Minister Gordana Djurovic, the Head of the OSCE Mission, Ambassador Paraschiva Badescu, German Ambassador Peter Platte and the Head of the Government’s Office for co-operation with NGO sector, Danka Latkovic, will take part in the conference. Representatives of public authorities, NGOs and relevant international organizations also will participate.
Journalists are invited to attend the event, which starts at 10:00, on 15 June, in the Hotel Crna Gora (hall Gradska Kafana), Bul. Sv. Petra Cetinjskog 2, Podgorica.
