Moscow School of Political Studies is a Russian non-governmental, non-profit making institution founded in 1992 to promote the development of a democratic political culture among Russian politicians and policy makers. The School’s stated mission is to help establish in Russia new generations of modern-thinking political leaders, devoted to the creation of an open society based upon the rule of law, respect for human rights, commitment to a market economy, and strong civic responsibility.

To further this mission, the School supports a growing network of young Russian political, administrative, intellectual, and business leaders through training that reinforces the basic tenets of a democratic society and encourages debate on adapting modern liberal political, economic, and social systems to Russia.

The core activity of the Moscow School of Political Studies are seminars. At each of its seminars the School gathers over one hundred participants — representatives of federal, regional and local legislative assemblies, executive administrations, NGO and public leaders, journalists and prominent businessmen, as well as representatives of non-profit sector.
