The Department of Criminal cases of the Senate of the Supreme Court decided that the case of a neo-Nazi Andris Jordans has to be reviewed by the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court repeatedly. As reported, Andris Jordans was sentenced to two years and one month of imprisonment for his statements made at public discussion that Jews and Roma people are ‘non-humans’ and it would be preferable to exterminate them. Latvijas Avize

Telegraf reports that the State Border Guard Service detained a group of persons engaged in illegal transportation of foreign citizens to Latvia. The group was detained while trying to transport three Iraqi citizens over Latvian border.

Latvijas Avize prints an article about differences in rights of Latvian citizens and non-citizens. The author of the article criticizes statements made by the Russian Ambassador to Latvia Aleksandr Veshnyakov according to which differences in rights of citizens and non-citizens split Latvian society. According to the article, it is fair that Latvian non-citizens do not have the same rights as the citizens, because in majority of countries, including Russia, these rights are granted only to citizens.
