SARAJEVO, 9 July 2010 - The Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Gary D. Robbins, will attend the 11 July commemoration in Srebrenica, marking the 15th anniversary of the genocide.

"The worst case of genocide in Europe since the Second World War is a painful reminder not only for the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the people of the region, but for all of us. It is our common duty to ensure that such acts are never repeated and that the perpetrators are brought to justice," said Ambassador Robbins.

"The OSCE Mission to BiH is working to help the people of BiH achieve justice. Justice means not only ensuring the prosecution and punishment of the perpetrators; it also means honouring the victims, learning from the past, working together to heal wounds and supporting efforts towards reconciliation and rebuilding lives. The OSCE will continue the important work of supporting the people of BiH."
