Dear Ms. Hillary Clinton

We are the Women’s Movement FEMEN fighting for women’s rights in Ukraine and we are asking for your help and protection.

The violation of women’s rights have taken place since the new team headed by Victor Yanukovich is in power. Ukraine has set the sad world record with the biggest Cabinet of Ministers without a single woman minister. Both the President and Prime-Minister allow themselves sexist statements against women, demonstrating their archaic political views towards the women’s role in the society.

Moreover, there is a pressure from the Government on the democratic institutions in Ukraine such as NGO and Mass-Media. Corruption and censorship blossoms in our country.

You are well-known not only as one of the most influential women-politicians, but also as a feminist. Your initiatives such as the fight for the right of children to sue their parents, the right for a group sex between free couples, protection of the woman’s abortion rights and homosexuals’ rights, describe you as a progressive leader of the 21st century.

We kindly ask you to explain Viktor Yanukovich at a personal meeting that the women should not only stay at kitchen, but also actively participate at the social and political life. Could you teach Nikolay Azarov a democracy lesson: please explain him that the consolidated efforts of people of both genders lay grounds for the reforms. With the patriarchic views of the nowadays Ukrainian leaders democratic Ukraine is doomed to fail.

We sincerely believe that your visit will be significant for the development of democracy in Ukraine and realisation of women’s rights.
