Yesterday, December 6, at 14-30, pro-Kremlin hackers cracked the blog and email of the women movement FEMEN. Attack took place from computer connected to the Internet thanks to the national telecom operator Ukrtelecom. FEMEN’s technicians have fixed the address of the computer.
Hackers have deleted all new blog entries and replaced them with anti-Ukrainian statements. In particular, they called the Ukrainian women "hohlyatsky prostitutes."
FEMEN connects the hack only with their public activity. Hackers have tried to discredit the movement in the eyes of it’t fans. In particular, for the European observers. In addition to the anti-Ukrainian slogans they placed in a compromised blog pornographic pictures and videos, thus equating the image of a Ukrainian woman with a porn model and prostitute.
Many FEMEN’s actions are directed against the Ukraine’s serving authorities. International journalists, political scientists and policy associate of Viktor Yanukovych and the Party of Regions with the largest Russian capital. The current president of Ukraine is one of the chief lobbyists for the introduction of the country’s second official language - Russian. With the advent of twice convicted "guarantor" Ukraine’s relations with Europe have deteriorated significantly. The leading German and British political commentators are writing about this situation.
FEMEN’s actions are directed against specific officials of the Party of Regions: they accused Mykola Azarov of heinous knowledge of Ukrainian language, they accused Viktor Yanukovych of the using of budgetary funds for the construction of private helicopter pad, and they accused Nestor Shufrych of populism and indifference to the real problems of Ukraine and its citizens. All together - this is a betrayal of Ukraine’s interests.
The Ukrtelecom (operator of telephony and Internet), who’s address was used for providing the attack on FEMEN, is controlling by the official power. Specifically, by the Party of Regions. Pro-Russian politicians had gladly given them the control pad for a hacker attack on FEMEN. FEMEN’s technologists determined that the hack was planned over a week ago.
Long time ago FEMEN had been aware of plans to massacre an account femen.livejournal.com, since the police have failed to develop an effective strategy for pre-emption of actions of women’s movement.
FEMEN binds breaking of it’s blog with another attempt to attack the freedom of speech in Ukraine. For the past year and a half journalists of Reuters, AP, EPA, AFP, Spiegel, CNN, BBC, NBC, Ekho Moskvy, Bild and other foreign sources believed FEMEN is one of the few independent sources of reliable information about Ukraine. Materials and stories about moving are permanently publishing in the international media. At the same time about them, oddly enough, talking less in the domestic media.
