European Commission President José Manuel Barroso has urged Greece and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia to reach an agreement on the issue of the country’s name without further delay.
* Ashton hails adoption of UN resolution on Kosovo
The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton, on 10 September warmly welcomed the adoption of the United Nations General Assembly resolution on the International Court of Justice’s opinion on Kosovo’s 2008 declaration of independence.
* Füle reflects on ten years of EU ties to a democratic Serbia
Addressing a public hearing in the European Parliament on 16 September on the subject of Serbia’s obligations as a candidate country, Enlargement Commissioner Štefan Füle commended the "courageous and responsible approach" the country’s leadership had taken..
