The second call for proposals for actions within the Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus cross-border cooperation programme has been issued by Lithuania’s interior ministry, acting as joint managing authority of the cooperation programme, which is part of the European neighbourhood and partnership instrument 2007-2013 programme.

Proposals should aim to enhance the territorial cohesion of the Latvian, Lithuanian and Belarusian border region, secure high level of environmental protection and provide economic and social welfare. Proposals should also help promote intercultural dialogue and cultural diversity.

Cross-border actions will be implemented in eligible territories of the programme. Applicants and partners must also be located in these eligible areas.

The eligible territories in Belarus are Grodno, Vitebsk, Mogilev and Minsk oblasts, as well as the city of Minsk itself.

The indicative total budget of the call is EUR8 million. Every action approved for funding will be allocated no more than 90% of its total budget from EU funds.

The deadline for applications is 22 February 2011.

An application pack consisting of an application form and other documents is available online. Seminars will be organised in December and January. (ENPI Info Centre)
