EFCA Promotes Income-Generating Activity in Tajikistan

The “clubs” of public associations of Tajikistan conducted three meetings in various regions of the republic at the initiative of Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia (EFCA). The events attended by over 50 representatives of public associations registered in Tajikistan took place in Dushanbe and two largest cities of Khatlon Oblast – Kurgan-Tyube and Kulyab.

In the course of the meetings representatives of the civil sector discussed the most perspective ways of implementing programs, aimed at helping vulnerable groups of Tajikistan population gain constant income. Also, participants of the meetings considered examples of the most effective programs from international practice oriented at income-generating activity.

At the meetings it was announced about the start of accepting proposals for small grants from public associations dealing with problems of socially vulnerable groups and having experience in the sphere of income-generating activity. The selected projects will be supported by EFCA under financing from the Embassy of the Netherlands in Almaty.
