ECAS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME:

ECAS Scholarship programme is an excellent opportunity for NGO’s representatives to get more familiar with EU Institutions, European associations, and their policies and to learn how to cooperate with them. It enables the selected NGO representatives to become acquainted with the structure and the decision making process of the EU institutions as well as get an in-depth understanding of the role of the European Associations present here in Brussels. During their stay in Brussels, the scholars are responsible for mapping out the Brussels “NGO terrain” and passing their knowledge on NGOs in their countries.

Since 2003 a number of NGO representatives from New Member states, Western Balkans and Eastern Europe participated in ECAS scholarship programme. For many of them this programme was an inspiration and encouragement to follow EU affairs related to the civil society development closely and to embark on the EU funded projects.
