The Czech Government Launched New Web Page of the EU Presidency (31.12.2008)

The Czech government launched new web page of the EU Presidency that starts on January 1st of the following year. The Czech government’s main motto for its EU Presidency is "Europe without Barriers" – a reference to competitiveness, the four freedoms and liberal trade policy. Other priorities include sustainable and safe energy, the revision of the EU budget and the Common agricultural Policy, transatlantic relations, enlargement to include the Balkans and Eastern Europe, and progress in the areas of freedom, justice and security.

Vlada Republike Češke je javnosti otvorila stranicu novog Predsjedništva EU koje započinje 1. januara 2009. godine. Geslo češkog Predsjedništva Evropske unije glasi "Evropa bez barijera" – što se odnosi na konkurentnost, četiri slobode i liberalnu trgovinsku politiku. Ostali prioriteti uključuju održivu i sigurnu energiju, reviziju budžeta EU i Zajedničke poljoprivredne politike, transatlantske odnose, proširenje EU na područje Balkana te napredak u područjima slobode, pravde i sigurnosti.
