Key findings of the progress reports on Bosnia and Herzegovina (05.11.2008)

Following progress in four key areas set out by the EU in 2005, the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) was signed in June 2008. However, the lack of consensus on the main features of state building, frequent challenges to the Dayton/Paris peace agreement and inflammatory rhetoric have adversely affected the functioning of institutions, have continued to slow down reforms and have put at risk the achievements made so far.

Nakon napretka ostvarenog u četiri ključna oblasti koje je EU postavila u 2005. godini, Sporazum o stabilizaciji i pridruživanju (SSP) je potpisan u junu 2008. godine. Međutim, nedostatak konsenzusa u vezi sa glavnim karakteristikama jačanja države, stalni izazovi Dajtonskog/pariškog mirovnog sporazuma i zapaljiva retorika su nepovoljno uticali na funkcionisanje institucija, nastavili da usporavaju reforme i time doveli u rizik do sada ostvareni napredak.
