Dimitris Kourkoulas: Judiciary Independence is Crucial for EU Accession (05.02.2009)

Ambassador Dimitris Kourkoulas, Head of the Delegation of the European Commission in BiH, stresses in the context of the nomination of new judges of the FBiH Constitutional Court the importance of respecting the procedural rules which intend to protect the independence of the judiciary. Each attack on the fundamental principle of independence of the judiciary from political interference would have a serious impact, said Kourkoulas.

U kontekstu imenovanja novih sudija Ustavnog suda Federacije Bosne i Hercegovine, Ambasador Dimitris Kourkoulas, šef Delegacije Evropske komisije u Bosni i Hercegovini naglašava važnost poštivanja proceduralnih pravila kojima se štiti nezavisnost sudstva. “Svaki napad na osnovne principe nezavisnog sudstva i političko uplitanje bi imali ozbiljan uticaj,” rekao je Kourkoulas.
