Javier SOLANA, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), will visit Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday, 19 May and Wednesday, 20 May 2009.
On Tuesday, 19 May, Mr Solana will visit Bosnia and Herzegovina together with Joseph R. Biden, Vice President of the United States of America. The joint trip will provide an opportunity to reiterate the EU and US common objectives in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Vice President Biden and
Mr Solana will together meet the Bosnian tri-Presidency, visit the Parliament and meet the political party leaders.
Before joining Vice-President Biden, Mr Solana will visit EUFOR ALTHEA at Camp Butmir. The visit will be an occasion to show support for the positive contribution of the force to the safe and secure environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On Wednesday, 20 May, Mr Solana will visit the EU Police Mission (EUPM) in BiH. He will meet Head of Mission, Stefan Feller.
